Rather than fill Drexels thread thought I'd make my own:

Few pics first. Think I was in the only S2000 there

Good day, 2:15 was our Rovertech session so that was a nice well behaved session. Audi S4 out with us was good sport, I braked a bit late going into quarry and had to trail brake into the corner, great in a front drive but tends to get the back end out. Ended up going all the way around quarry sideways. Hopefully the guy who came and found me after will email the video he took of it

One of the rover lads stacked it on our session at quarry so didnt get a very long session. Then at 3.30 session I got a pass off someone for free as long as i took them out, I obliged and had a great session with nothing going past. The S2000 is awesome on the track, braking and handling it was catching everything and wasn't too bad on the straights, hitting about 115 -120mph before avon rise with the roof down isn't too bad. Rover was about 130mph. (S2000 speedo is bang on though)

The chincanes were great, loads of traction out of them

Brakes didnt fade nor judder(when hot) but i did find this after braking on cold disks.

Oops new disks time, plain ones aswell! crack must close up when the disks are hot.

Tyres let me down a bit, great road tyres but they go all squidgy on the track, gets a bit floaty. Would love some nice stiff sidewall tyres for the next track. Some suspension mods would be great too but I cant really lower it much due to the ramp into my flat (has bottomed out with a boot of shopping and 2 people in the car).

I hope that isn't you undertaking on a corner :p

Did you notice much difference in cornering with the passenger?

Overtaking on the right at combe, was prob waiting for the straight. Cornering was still pretty good even with an 18stone passenger.

Running Toyo T1Rs, 35front, 34psi rear. They seem to get hot and I think the tread blocks start moving a bit. First few laps of each session when they were coldish it felt great.

Might try some Avon ZZ3s next, had them on the rover. Stiff sidewall and pretty decent on the track

How did you find you got on with going up hills?

Having no torque I guess you just gave it a really good run-up and hope for the best?

If your doing 120 then you could afford to raise the psi a bit ? I know I would

I like those alloys and how the front looks, would you need roll over hoops for slicks or any major mod?

Is that a modded MG Maestro next to you in the pic :D

Cheers, roll over hoops are behind the seats, fitting slicks would cause issues with oil surge due to the massive amounts of grip, also they don't give much warning when they are about to let go.

Those pressures are fine for the speeds. Standard is 32psi on the stiffer s-02s.

Yeah modded maestro, right sleeper though as it has a 300hp T16 turbo lump in it
