Compact for <£100

Mrs birthday is next Thursday and she's just told me her current compact is bust.

Can anyone recommend a sub £100 compact (Canon preferred) please? Her current Canon compact has LENS ERROR, i've dismantled it but couldn't see anything obvious.

Only criteria is it has to take good photos.

I've been looking at the IXUS 132, 150 and A3500 and all seems to suffer with noise above about 600 ISO.

Ok so after some looking I can't decide between the XF1 and the Sony.

The XF1 sounds like a brilliant camera but I'm not sure if the Mrs is going to like the look of it... (she's a woman after all)...

Today is DDAY. She has a nice shiny RED XF1 wrapped up for her.. fingers crossed!
