Compact speaker setup

Hey all

I'm currently using some Mission 731i’s and an old NAD amp for my PC audio setup but due to having to move out of the spare bedroom for my youngest to have their own room, I now need to downscale the audio gear.

I’d like to keep cost down to around £100 or so as I mainly use my headset but it would just be to give a reasonable level of sound, whilst remaining compact.

The current thought would be to get a pair of Wharfedale 9.0 black and a Gemtune SMSL SA-50 to power it but if anyone has any better suggestions I’d be grateful.

I have a Marantz system with Celestion based speaker setup in the lounge so I get my audio fix from that.

I understand I won’t get the same quality of sound coming from the Missions/NAD but that is unfortunately just one of those things, sadly.

Thanks

Wharfedale 9.0 and something like the SMSL you've mentioned or a Topping is a good choice. For £50 or so they are great value speakers.

Another good choice for £100 would be Edifier R1600T III or the 1800's.
