Hi,

Can you put all spoiler and tips in this thread please so that those that want help can find it but those that want to do the single player un-aided don't stumble across unwanted spoliers in other threads.

well its not easy, just takes practise, some of my tips (although i am no pro)

- dont push forward to quickly, you always get flanked

- Dont underestimate the power of sticky bombs and grenades of infantryearly on, Stugs are generaly weak so stickybombs and rocket launchers are a must.

-I find the AI likes to spam engineers especially early onto capture points, make sure you have a jeep and eventually an armoured car or two to fend them off

-Use fences and mines, if you manipulate the map correctly he can be half destroyed before he gets anywhere near you.

-Sandbags offer lots more protection to gunners and AT, I assume you know about clicking your unit, holding the right mouse button and pointing the unit in the direction you want it to face, Cover is very important in this rts

- This game is so good you can throw satchel packs and grenades over walls, great as you are unseen by the enemy, And it has great comedy value

- IMO its all about timing between when you change between infantry and tanks, To early and you dont have resources and infantry to protect yourself, too late and you get over run by tanks,

For mission specific tips i will get back to you, once i find tacticsfor each mission as i move through the game

EDIT

- Use smoke screens on on the tanks and your mortor teams, they give extra protection over tanks and enemy shots usually miss

-mine up roads and remember the armoured car has a mine drop if you are retreating use it and the enemy will probably follow you into it

-Use the tech tree fully, the production center has 2 upgrades helps lower cost and increase manpower, might hurt more in the short term but u come back stronger

- as part of above point, never quit!! if you are only on the back foot, a few well placed units can turn it round for you and with patience a game u thought was over might be yours half an hour later

- Hurt the enemy more by taking sections that arent muntions or fuel hence cutting them off, i find the AI doesnt gaurd these points as heavilly and taking out the right ones can really get to him

I been on the official forum for this game, picking tips there. Maybe highlighting some that are there and reposting them here maybe useful to the masses as theres a lot of ATIGERPWNZORZME WAH WAH etc.

you mention in your good post gizmoy2k, but satchel charges are fantastic, better than grenades, they can take a whole nest of enemy out with one charge, especially on the early missions. plus it makes a cool explosion, and i saw gibs explode for the first time yesterday!

Yeah I got mine yesterday, thought I'd fire it up for half an hour prior to the UEFA cup game on TV, the next time I look at my clock it's nearly midnight :D

Great game!

(Excellent tips gizmoy, thank you)
