Compression or bard fittings that is the question

Hi I am new to water cooling (very new) i have done some extensive research into the matter.

the one part that freaks me out (apart from mixing expensive electrical components and water together in a little box) is that through all the things I have looked at people swear by either compression or barb fittings but no reasons why.

So really I would just like to see which one is better if any and why it is better to use them.

Thank you for your advice

There is no right or wrong answer.

It all comes down to preference. I've used both compressions and barbs but prefer 1/2" barbs with 7/6" tubing as the tubing is usually that snug you've got to cut the tubing to get it off the fitting.

I myself prefer compression fittings. I had barbs originally and you cant get the tube off the blooming things when you need to haha.

The main difference is ascetics. I wouldn't say either is more secure than the other just go with what you think looks best :)
