Comtrend Powerline Ethernet Adapters?

Hi all

I have two of these Ethernet adaptors lying still packaged and boxed, I am not sure how these work, but I believe they allow you to connect ethernet devices in different rooms by plugging them in to the mains!

Does anyone know if these are sought after items, and can I get in trouble if I sell them!

p.s I am only looking for advice, and dont intend to sell through this site, just curious as BT etc sell them for £80 a set!

They're reasonably new and beginning to pickup popularity, you won't get anywhere near £80 for them though, as you can buy a set presuming they're 85mbps ones for £40-50 in the shops. If they're 200Mbps ones you may get closer though.
