No, Ryzen running an all clock setting lower than single max XFR pretty much stomps any equivalent Intel CPU into the dust.
I think I've already posted my own benchmarks showing that this isn't the case.
Must be fun living in a bubble.

No, Ryzen is a processing monster. I've spent most of the day being amazed how much performance Ryzen offers compared to much more expensive Intel chips. You are 100% wrong.
It offers value for money yes but it isn't faster. Give it any avx instructions and it loses by a margin.

No. You wouldn't believe what I've got an 8 core Ryzen doing right now. If I tried this on one of my Intel system the desktop would be unresponsive and would probably fall over. I'm actually trying to stall this system and it's eating everything I can throw at it right now.
Your 5.1Ghz 8700K would be choked to the gills. This rig could not give a monkeys.
Pick a benchmark where the 8700k chokes and the 1800x doesn't.
@humbug so the Intel is beating the "processing monster" not wrong am I?
not £400 and psychic now are weThe problem is your hyperbolic language, its a couple of % when Overclocked vs overclocked and the same performance at stock.
That's Intel's 2018 £400 top of the line mainstream CPU, its not that impressive, Ryzen 2 will beat it in April and for less money.

I'm not the one calling ryzen a processing monster am I lol. Not claiming things like it can beat a 5.1ghz 8700k. I call out false claims, not make them.
If the cap fits...still waiting for that spec sheet of that cooler. Why do you people always resort to the "fanboy" grenade, what are you 12?

Which CPU do you have as a matter of interest?
Ryzen has other capabilities that it excels at, so does the 8700K, they are different chips tuned diffrently, the point you made was that the 8700K beats Ryzen in AVX workloads, i just gave you an AVX workload and its doesn't.
Ryzen is also old news about to be replaced by younger - fitter - faster silicon.
no need to be rude, only asked a simple question![]()
How is that comment constructive in anyway? You'll learn that the biggest AMD fan on here doesn't actually own AMD hardware. Which is brilliant in itself.
I'm really sick an tired of seeing people blinded by their Favourite brand and not opening their minds to a different point of view.
That's a mentality that will hinder any competition in this tech space that we all love, resulting in all of us paying more.
Nobody wants that
I had never even heard of him before or seen his videos. I completely disagree with him that anything about it is a "con" though. Simple as that.[/QUOTE
How can you disagree or agree with him when you haven't even seen his videos?
Give the man a chance and watch it and then do your own research before you pass judgment.
