Con Lake Con firmed [Warning: AdoredTV]

I'll probably make something from it tbh. A reminder to never believe the hype or something ;p
In all seriousness the way AMD keep dropping prices it will be worthless soon anyway.

And for those saying that AdoredTV isn't biased, check back to his History of GeForce video series for a mouthful of bias, anyone who lived back in those days will probably recall that history differently. Also track back to his "Nvidia getting away with GPU murder" video, he did so much research that he completely omitted the capacitor plague and RoHS coming into force, which raised failure rates on a lot of components back then, in fact you can find a hardware.fr article with failure rates of video cards just around the time frame Adored is mentioning.
And that's just a few of the videos I've managed to go through, unbiased indeed! All he does is just feed his audience bias by the video, of course it doesn't seem biased when the audience is in a confirmation bias loop.

Say what you want about Jim (Adored) but he backs up his videos with facts and sources. I enjoy listening to him and he does provide a good Yin, to the overall Intel/Nvidia/AMD Yang.

...and it wouldn't be a CPU discussion/thread without Gavin jumping in....HELLO GAVIN :D *waves*

So where's the facts that and sources to back up the click bait headline of 'con lake'??

All his 'facts and sources' showed is that buying a cheapo PC from a rubbish OEM might lead to sub par performance from some of the more expensive components.... No **** sherlock!

His headlines alone show he has not real interested in balance... He may not have never said a bad word about AMD but we have to put their performance in perspective.... Unless your mining they are currently (and have been for some time) a complete joke for higher end Gpu's and even their midrange struggles to offer anything compelling over the green teams current offerings. Ryzen was a pretty good show (I own an 1800x setup) but it only offered performance that Intel had offered previously for some time but at a far better price....

And AMD have had more than there fair share of down right ****y business practises of late most notable not telling reviewers (or consumers) that Vega gpu's came with a pretty hefty and rather limited launch rebate on their 'true' rrp

Some people clearly find his existence incredibly annoying, that's good.

90% of mainstream reviewers have become lazy, incompetent, clueless and dependent on revenue streams from the very people they are supposed to be reviewing.

Adored brings Independence and intelligence back into hardware journalism so i can see how a lot of the establishment have personal issues with him.

He may be 'independent' but this is not not be confused with 'not irrationally biased' which he certainly is not....

I would not recommend the uniformed and /or uninitiated watch his channel if they want good advice

Hardly comparable to his intel and nvidia tirades, as a look at his video titles will show

So you want him to balance every Intel video with an AMD video? can he only be genuine if he takes a BBC mantra approach to journalism?

He's made some pretty scathing videos about AMD too.

Poor Vega being a belter.

Now squire you've picked one video that hasn't the in-depth detailed facts, compared to the other videos he has done, the other stuff he has put out have all verifiable links and sources from other outlets.

If you take it, that con lake video, from the perspective that he has come from, the average joe blogs and not the enthusiast buyer/user, then you're thinking you're getting a cpu that will hit speeds that Intel have said they would hit on their website, only to find that it struggles to hit that speed even for a short time. Probably should have had more of a go at the vendor than intel but the basis for his video is "average buyer won't get what they see advertised in most of the other tech outlets, from the machine they buy" is pretty true. You're looking at it from a knowledgeable point of view, average joe blogs won't have your knowledge to know any different.

Probably should have had more of a go at the vendor than intel.

No 'probably' about it but because adored is a completely biased source anyone not already knowing anything about the CPU's involved would potentially buy into his deliberate omissions and mis representations....

He's a total waste of space unless you are already an irrational AMD fan and want to indulge in some post purchase rationalisation ... If you know anything about PC's you know not to take his reviews at face value and if you don't know much/anything about PC's he's very misleading....

Just look at the two fairly recent pc games he decided to review on his channel..... Tomb raider and Doom.... Oh what a ****ing surprise two titles that perform atypically well on AMD hardware compared to Nvidia hardware
