Concealing a Projector screen?

Hello All,

I’m thinking of concealing my projector screen in the ceiling, can anyone point me in the direction of a plastic trim I’d need to neaten the slit where the screen would come through (I’ve no clue what the right terminology is!)

Any tips / advice welcome.

Isn't it an automatic screen your looking for? which you just attach to the ceiling and press a button on a remote for it to go up and down like a garage door?

Alternatively search for "plasterboard trim" and make something yourself. You'd normally cut the trim to the shape and then plaster it in, if you're retro-fitting you can do it with filler and then sand and paint.

Hi i built a mdf box full lenth of room then made a flap that comes down then pull the screen down

If you want to put it into ceiling you will have to check which way you floor joist run
best way to tell is to look at your floor upstairs and the floor joist run 90 deg to the flooring to the long lines of the floor
the best way to hind the side of the plaster board is edge bord trim bq sell it the trim is galv metal and is a c section that goes over the edge of the board so it can be filled smooth you want to use easy fill for this bq sell it to in small bags and sands to a very smooth finsh
