Confused about buying X360

There are plenty more games other than GoW and Halo 3 that will be exclusive and good, I don't give a damn about Gow and Halo 3 personally, I care more about Mass Effect and Alan Wake. The 360 will likely have its equal share of killer titles as the PS3. You've got stuff like Forza 2, Lost Planet and Fable 2.

Don't know how you figure that one out - they have sold every console which hits the stores but the production is whats holding things up.

I did read a report that there were some stores complaining because after deliveries they had some PS3's which weren't sold within the first twelve hours, but this was more a reflection on the store forcing customers to buy expensive bundles (over $1000) rather than lack of interest in the console!

Fleabay is flooded with them and they are not selling for much over the retail price, but again I think it's nothing more than a reflection of the amount of people who thought they would get on that money making bandwagon and are now losing out.
 
For that price you would almost be crazy not too! Even sony 'fanboys' (or any other fanboy for that matter) cant deny that playing the 360 in HD resolutions looks amazing.

Also if you wait until march, all that will be released for the ps3 is multiplat games that have already been out on the 360 e.g. fight night 3, ghost recon etc. and so far we have seen that compared to the 360 versions, the ps3 ones arent as good in many areas. Theres too much going against Sony at the moment and a lot going for the 360, a lot of people dislike microsoft, but you would have to have a good reason for not hearing about Sony's arrogance the past few months and the lies they spout. I can almost guarantee I will end up buying all systems, but I recognise good business when I see it and I intend to take full advantage of Microsofts offerings, they are in the console war to win and they are doing a lot for that and at the end of the day it is us gamers who benefit.

try and buy anything from retail shops for xbox now!!! tried 7 shops before I found one that still sells xbox (1) contollers
 
Ah the list again...

I think its fair to believe that in general the X360 is underestimated and people wont really understand this until the PS3 releases here and see that its if anything been over hyped.
Theirs no denying the X360 is a great platform with a great range of games and at a great price.

Since you are a self confessed (and a little blinkered) PS3 fan, You would be an idiot to not buy the 360, put it straight on the bay and make some profit, then go and buy a PS3 import (Jap imports going for around £500)

Other then that, don't buy the TV yet, as if the PS3 is delayed, you'll have to time to get the newer/better LCD model, or possibly save up for a decent 40"+ 1080 panelled LCD to really make the most of 1080p..

The 360 is very good, i enjoy it. I will be getting a PS3 also as temptation will be too much! I have also got a Wii and this is probably the best out of all of them.. Gameplay wise!

Just go for it Turba you know you want one, you wouldnt of made the post in the first place otherwise! :p

I would definately hook the 360 up to a monitor though as i cannot play the 360 without a HD capable veiwing device :p . It does look good on a standard TV though, im just used to a HD tv.

Xbox live is excellent, this is a major factor of me carrying on with the xbox from the original!

EDIT- What do you mean what can i do with this tv? You can do that much other than watch it?! i used mine as a sled once it did a very good job!!!

On a serious note, it has many inputs and outputs which is nice! Sky HD looks superb!

His original post was asking if the xbox 360 was worth buying! Surely a list of games already out and on their way for the console he is considering buying is a good bit of info to have?

Use as a PC monitor over HDMI with some cards or VGA
HD with the 360 over VGA or composite
PS3 over HDMI

Ok, i was willing to give this thread a chance. I thought here's a PS3 Fanboy who's genuinely willing to find out whether or not he might like a 360. However your comments in this thread, in particular ignoring responses which would answer your comments and deliberately making one sentence posts to incite the 360 fanboys en masse has really peed me off! The 360 exclusives question has been answered, things to do with your telly has been answered. Yet you persist... :mad:

why do some games on the list have a * next to the name besides rock* which is rockstar?

There are some cracking titles coming out on all formats and as long as i am lucky enough to play but a few of them I will be happy.
