Confused about buying X360

What have microsoft done that affects you personally? I think Bill Gates charity fdoundation is something all billionaires should follow. Sony are using their arrogance to sell the machine from what I have seen while Microsoft, who have done nothing to annoy me personally, are offering a lot and I think any sensible gamer should take full advantage of it.
I used to be a massive Playstation fan, but recently my lust for a ps3 has died down a bit. The average consumer has a lot of reason to dislike sony however, for example their rootkit scandal, lack of rumble, loss of exclusives - both games and developer companies, their hatred towards importing and of course that silly spec sheet in which Sony lied to make the PS3 look better than the 360. Oh we cant forget how stupid they were with the E3 pre-rendered footage. Regardless of all this, I dont recall ever hseeing Sony apologise about all of this.
The european delay ticked me off the most as I would have though simultaneous consol launches in the top 3 main regions would have been standard yet the second biggest gaming market in the world is put into the dark again. Its also been slaughtered by the media, both online independant gaming sites and respected magazines and although that doesnt mean its going to fail (its the playstation, how can it?) it does show its had a poor start.
I dont think you can go wrong with the Xbox 360, especially for 2007 as most of the games are multiplat but so far they have been shown to run better on the far less powerful (apparently) Xbox 360 but theres also a decent amount of exclusives comming out that Microsoft have managed to secure.
