Connecting stereo, amp, pc and plasma 1080P

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me the best way (what cables/connector brands) to connect a stereo amp and two speakers to my pc and a plasma screen to watch movies.

Do I just need a DVI-HDMI cable for video and RCA cables for sounds or should I use optical? Also is there likely to be any lip synch problems with any such method?


I really am a noob regarding AV\stereo equipment so any help appreciated before i start buying stuff!

Dual monitor

Use the plasma as a second monitor through DVI (presume your Plasma has DVI) and connect the Amp to the PC via digital ?
