My work laptop is on a domain so I can't take it off that. My home PC is not part of any network and is on the default workgroup.

I connect to the Internet at home, with my PC and laptop, via a router.

How can I share large files between the two?

TIA :)

PC's don't need to be in the same workgroup/domain to share files.

The way I do it is pressing start, run, then entering '\\192.168.0.101\d$' and pressing enter. Where 192.168.0.101 is the IP address of the machine you want to browse (my home machine in this case) and substitute d$ for the share you want on that machine.

After a few seconds you should get prompted to login to the other machine.
