They've only had 2 fatal incidents according to Wiki. One in 1977 which was the result of a hijacking killing 100 and one in 1995 killing 34 (pilot error).

Looks like it was a Boeing 777.

I reckon it's gone down in the South China sea. The real life flightplan usually crosses it completely. Would explain why it's not been found.

Most aircraft that disappear suddenly aren't destroyed by bombs.

most aircraft don't breakup they slam into the ground/sea in one piece, but radar loses them as they drop.
