Contesting the Practical Driving Exam result

They have a quota of how many to pass in a week/month. Your mate was just one of the unlucky ones.

You don't seriously believe that, do you? Put it this way, if it was first come first served, pass up to a quota, why have a test at all? What muppetry.

there is no quota of how many people have to fail, or limit of how many can pass
but some examiners are just ***** the same examiner that failed me has failed everyone i know who took their test with her
has a habit of making you do one certain thing (different each time) again and again until you slip up then giving you a major for it

Does your uncle have friends? :p;)

He's not that bad. :p

He was in the paper in Wolverhampton though because of his tendancy to fail people who needed interpreters; he would say "next left please" and the interpreter would fly off into a full dialogue for about thirty seconds saying something that couldn't just be the equivalent...

He earned the nickname, 'The Terminator'! ;)

WTF are you on about?

I know I'm only going to confuse you here, but here we go anyway...

If the pass/fail is based on a quota, ie you drive well but the fact the quota is already filled means you receive a fail, then that means the test itself is redundant. If that were the case, the number of passes allowed in a day would just be given to the first 'x' number of applicants on that day/week/month. Simple really. Your uncle/mate/crack dealer can fill in the 'x' for you.

Care to explain?

My instructor always said that if you fail your test and it's deemed unfair when you appeal, you original driving test would still be a fail, and all they'd do is offer you a free retest.

Sorry, I meant the post above yours, You sneakily managed to post seconds before my self :(

Its an interesting post though.

I mean like any job, people make mistakes and driving instructors are not exempt from this are they ?

It is very difficult to prove... perhaps they should introduce cameras into test cars to combat this but then if you use your own then that would be an issue wouldnt it.

Hmm
