Just thought I'd mention that the CS5 has now been released. The official line is "Extends the ContiSportContact5P into the mainstream, popular UHP category". The CS5 is available from 205 and 17" up to 19" where the 5P takes over. Official site here.

Probably won't matter much as I guess most people will be trying the Asymmetric 2s after the good reviews so far.

That is a 5P size. The 5 has been brought out to fill the lower tyre size gap left when the 5P was released. Its a soft launch apparently with no fanfair and the CS3 will be phased out.

Ah, I see - I thought this was 5P (and indeed thought 'I thought this had been out for a while...').

Whats the difference between 5 and 5P?

I've been quite happy with my CS3's but the prices on them lately are quite bonkers, up to £200 each in my rear size now. If I get another set of rears (Not sure if I will), I'll probably try the Assymetric 2's.

No difference apart from available sizes I don't think. I have some pretty good pdfs on them, if you want them i'll get Wicksta to send them on. I'm ordering some 5Ps later this month and moving away from runflats so it'll be interesting to see how the car drives after.

Brilliantly is, I would imagine, the answer to that question. I wish BMW would ditch this obsession with runflats. It's probably not as intrusive or out of character on your M Sport but the tyre roar permeating into the cabin on the SE is frankly ridiculous.

I have just replaced my CS3's with F1 Asymmetric 2's. Blackcircles had them £15 per tyre cheaper than the CS3's so I thought I'd try them. Initial impressions are very good, but they were only fitted on friday so still a little too new to tell - they've not seen any wet weather yet. Similar tyre noise to the CS3's.
