Continental Winter Contacts

my summer tyres are like plastic in sub zero temps. i couldnt move my damn car yesterday when the ****ing bmw 3 series parked in front of me moved off like it was a summers day. I mean, that's just insulting lol.

I had a woman in a Mini giving me blasts of the horn as she thought I was holding in her up in the centre of Edinburgh I was simply unable to accelerate with traction control on in 1st/2nd/3rd or I would wheel spin taking the camber of the road with it off, F1s are hopeless in this weather.

I now regret cancelling the winter tyres I ordered during the cold spell at the start of the year

I've been suprised at how well my CS3's have managed this winter. We had two days of snow last winter and for both of those two days I was on the bus as my F1's wouldnt even get off the drive. But this winter despite the snow I've not failed to make it to work in the car once yet - and the road to the main road is a complete ice rink at the moment

F1s are strange on my car I had snow past the bottom of the bumper in our street and I drove out up an incline with hardly an issue yet cold slush or a fine bit of snow makes the car almost undrivable on anything other than a flat road.

Going up the mound the other week was a little interesting, the cobbles on the other roads didn't help either!

Worn the tyres in?

I have found the snow this year a lot more powderlike than last years which may make a difference.

I got stuck on my driveway in Norway when the snow turned to slush in warm weather, and that was on winter tyres and 4wd.

Slush is truly awful and I hate the stuff. Everything gets so wet too
