Nice set of pics. I really like no. 4. Good use of Rule of Thirds and reflection is interesting :)

You haven't asked for critique but I'm gonna offer some anyway ;) On the first 3 you have put the horizon bang in the middle of the shot. It's generally better for landscapes to put the horizon one third or two thirds down the shot.

Cheers,

Mohain.

thanks for the comments :)

Mohain fair comment I never used to do that, but i'm finding it necessary with my 10-22mm because if I try placing the horizon anywhere but in the middle you get way too much sky, or way too much foreground (and my feet as well) :p

10mm is w i d e

Contrary to opinion so far I really like #5!

Pevensea, Cooden and Normans Bay are old stomping grounds of mine - used to fish off the beach there as a kid and have been back recently to take some pics.

You ever been to the castle to shoot? It looks great when the sun is going down :)

thanks mate.

We noticed the castle on the way back to Clapham Junction on the train and it looks amazing! This beach is a new find for us and we will defo be going back during the summer as it's easy to get to from Clapham and it's not crowded at all. :)

Great shots, but i think that the last one is a bit boring though, there doesnt seem to be anything interesting in the picture.

According to english heritage the castle is about a half mile walk from Pevensea station so it's worth a trip :)

Here's a sampler:
