Coolant Q

Hi all have a Q about is there any way it can go off? And if I use a sieve to stran bits out of it I have EK blood cryofull
Typically most coolants are distilled water + gycol and some other anti-corrosive or biocide. If unused and sealed in cool/dark it's not going to go "off."

If it's coloured it might potentially start to separate as it's a form of suspension which might increase the chance of clogged fins without inspection/annual maintenance.

I've noiced my loop temp on my loop sensor keep going up my cpu and gpu temps are good I have to turn ac on to keep under control dident noice this be for just wonder if there issue with coolant?

More likely you have some clogging in some block. How long ago did you check/empty the loop?

I had Mayhems Pastel that lasted for a very long time, 4 years before I changed it because I wanted a change, it was still doing its job. A friend just had some EK Pastel separate and make a proper old mess though.

If you want to be safest just get clear fluid.

My experience of EK's Cryofuel is that it doesn't separate just goes a bit thinner and loses some of its vibrancy. I've been using the neon green for the last three and a half years and I haven't had any clogging of the blocks, when I stripped down my 3080 FE block it just needed a quick clean down, I was quite surprised how clean it was, just some residual staining from the colour.

I've had EK pastel colours separate more than once - Mystic fog and azure blue being ones i can remember.

Now i just use distilled water with dye concentrate.

Hesitant to try Mayhems Patel given my experience with EK.

Mayhems, maybe not the original guy, but it's been going many many years. They have had time to perfect. Not seen many moans about them. Ek on the other hand....

Maybe check to see how dusty your radiators are and give them a blow out if it's only the coolant temp that's affected. You say cpu and gpu temps are good but if they are higher than before then could be time to open the blocks up and give them a clean.

As for coolant I find distilled/deionised water with a few drops of biocide and inhibitor works best and vastly cheaper than premixed.
