Cordless Gaming Mouse and Keyboard for HTPC Build?

I'm in the process of building a HTPC with gaming in mind (CSS, DODS etc.) and would like a cordless keyboard and mouse combo that's not too expensive and most importantly does not lag.

I purchased a Logitec wireless combo a couple of year ago and while the mouse was ok the keyboard was useless for games playing. Have things changed?

Any suggestions? is the Microsoft MCE Keyboard any good?

imho its a lot of money for what it is....but would still buy one if building a HTPC.

yeah id say so. now the mice are crap but the keyboards are great (unless you buy a dinovo lol)

stay away from MS is all i can say.3 different ms sets, 3 different peopel, all of them had problems with the signal dropping out on both the mouse and the keyboard. One of thsoe sets was mine. I changed it for a Logi s510 media remote set and it is pretty damn good.

Would i be better off getting the MS MCE Remote and plug in a mouse and keyboard in the front USB ports for when i want to game?
