Corsa Aerial problems?

hey up, quick question tho long winded so here goes...

bought a R reg corsa 1.2 LS, runs sweet but i have a BIG issue with the radio.

fitted my sony stereo no problems, and CD/speakers are fine, but i have an issue with the radio.

i couldnt find the usual lead that plugs in, but found a grey lead that had been snipped, with what looks like a small copper inner circle inside.

is it possible to fix this, as two seperate halfords stores have told me its much better to rewire.

if its a rewire.... where am i best going and what equipment will i need?

If you could get to a scrappy and get an end of an aerial lead to fit your radio, what you need to do is join the solid copper strands, and the shielding of each bit, but make sure to keep the two insulated and seperate. Although if you can take a trip down the scrappy, you may as well just get an uncut complete cable...
