If you follow that link I posted it says the CX400 is discontinued.

That sucks, although I expected it with the release of this cx430

You can still get the CX400W for around £35 delivered.

Yeah at the moment, although supply will dry up at some point. What other quality budget psu's are out there that can take over as the obvious choice round that price range?

They're not exactly China bomb bad PSUs but just as bad as CX430 meaning "optimistically" specified very low end platforms with probably dirt cheap components.

The CX600 is a CWT DSA build, which is a low end CWT build, but Corsair have overrated their PSU by about 100-150w, and to top it off it's rated at 30c, that's pretty bad. While the OCZ Stealthxstream II's are around, the newer Corsair CX500/600's are obselete, as the OCZ can deliver it's rated wattage at 40-50c with good ripple supression/voltage regulation, but people will still buy the Corsairs, just because it has "Corsair" in the name.

Corsair usually send out review samples of their units aswell, and surprise surprise they said they won't be sending any review samples out for the new CX series.

The Antec EarthWatts EA-380D Green and EA-430D Green are made by Delta Electronics AFAIK. The Silverpower Gorilla 400W and 500W are made by Seasonic and are based on the S12 design.

Both the Antec 380W PSU and the Silverpower 400W PSU are under £40.
