Hello am looking at replacing the Fans on my Case anyone know whats rated best 200mm fans and 120mm fans?
My side panel can take 2x 120 or 2x 140 or 1x 200mm Do you think I should stick with 200mm fan or replace that with 2x fans.

Also because the Corsair case don't allow me to use other fans on the built-in controller I think am going to need a Fan controller also.

I just don't think theses stock fans doing good enough job blowing air into the case, even set on high or low I tell zero difference in speed change.

Thanks guys.

Hi, I have the same case as you and have my fans set on low (because they are virtually inaudible at that setting whereas they are noisey at higher settings). are you sure its the fans giving you issues as the airflow should be fine for your setup? Anyway just a heads up that the is no "standard" for 200mm fans at the moment which means different manufacturers put the screw holes in different places so the is a chance any 200mm fan you get won't line up with the 500R mounts, the Bitfenix spectre pro's apparently fit though, just thought id warn you on that one.

Edit:

Here's the fan specs if they are of any use

Front 120mm x 25mm
RPM - 1200
CFM - 43.2
dBA - 18
Static pressure - 1.6mm H2O
Power - 1.2 Watts

Rear 120mm x 25mm
RPM - 1200
CFM - 43.2
dBA - 18
Static pressure - 1.7 mm H2O
Power - 2.16 Watts

Thanks for replying, it's good to know not all 200mm fans will fit. The stock fans just don't seem to blow enough air into case and I can't tell difference on low to high setting.

The 500R's fan controller is really poor, i've replaced the front fans with GT's and used the stock front ones up top. As previously posted, the Bit Fenix fits the side panel, if you search someone on here reviewed the 230mm version and it fitted ok, it was apparently fairly good too.

Replaced all fans with Spectre Pro (used a 200 on side) variants in mine and it made a nice difference to noise/performance.
