Why corsair only support 2x 3.5 drives  they have place in the back for 4x 2.5 surly it would have been better having 4x 3.5 with support for 2.5.

Gutted wanted this case.

My question is they any other case out there very like this corsair one? but with support for more 3.5 drives.

Thanks

It's a lot more expensive but you get a lot more for your money

YOUR BASKET
1 x Lian Li PC-D600WB Big-Tower - Black £249.95
Total : £259.55 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Thanks
Kinder more than I willing to spend lol the case change isn't a must it's because I adding two new GPU and thought it would be a nice change. The £130 mark is prob the most I willing to spend on a new Case.

Is it possible do you know to easy mod the 540 to allow more 3.5 drives.

Might not be similar in terms of shape, but hard to go wrong with the 750d; room for 6x 3.5" drives in the two cages.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Corsair Obsidian 750D Full Tower Case - Black (CC-9011035-WW) £138.98
Total : £138.98 (includes shipping : FREE).

If you want to keep the cube shape the Xigmatek isn't a bad choice. MATX and drive bay arrangement is 6x 3.5" and 2x 2.5"

YOUR BASKET
1 x Xigmatek Gigas Micro ATX Cube Case - Silver £86.99
Total : £86.99 (includes shipping : FREE).

And if that wasn't enough you could always consider what I am doing and mount the 3.5" drives into the 5.25" drive slots. That would give you the 4x 3.5" drives you wanted.

Silverstone do a bracket to do exactly that, but people also recommend the bungee mod stickied in the Case Central part of the forum.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Silverstone SST-SDP10B Bay Converter 5.25 to 3.5 plus 2x 2.25 inch £10.99
Total : £10.99 (includes shipping : FREE).

If you don't need the drive bays, you could use 2 HDD bay converters

How many drives do you need room for?

Depending on how often you use your DVD drive you could always get a caddy for that and use it via the usb port. Keeping it in a draw most of the time.

Haven't found the need for a dvd drive in nearly 2 years now. But good to have one just in case.

Guys help me here lol

I trying to work out the size of the Corsair case 540 on OCUK and Corsair they say Dimensions: 415mm x 332mm x 458mm

now is 415mm the Length and 458mm the Height? LOL I know the 332mm is the width.

Just making sure this will fit on Desk.

He's got the dimensions, just wasn't sure which was length and which was height as they aren't labeled.

However what is odd is that PDF has completely different dimensions to the Corsair spec page for the Air 540. Are they not accounting for the front bezel in the depth?

The convention is usually length × width × height.

So in that case it would be (L) 415mm x (W) 332mm x (H) 458mm

Good to hear, and glad the case you wanted originally meets your needs.

Any further questions on the Air 540 just drop another message in here and we will see what we can do.

Hi. I am in a similar dilemma to the OP. I am a gamer / photo editor so I need lots of space. I have bought x2 2TB drives but they'll be filled up soon (it's taken a good while to do this and this was from my previous RAW catalogue). So looking to change these to x2 10 TB drives and also use the 5.25 inch bays. Will this work? Do I need an adaptor like this or do I need a proper setup with a fan?

See here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/StarTech-5...1495129790&sr=8-4&keywords=5.25+backplane+fan (with fan)
or just the usual brackets to attach to the 3.5 drive with no fan? (case runs cool!)

Regarding the future, I could use NAS but prefer to keep everything in the case. Has anyone modded to add another 1 or two 3.5 drives above and beyond the suggestions I've made here? That would mean this case could take 6 3.5 inch drives. 2 in the hotswap, 2 in the 5.25 and 2 somewhere else? Above PSU (above the 2.5 bays?)

Also quick daft ask, I bought this from PC specialist and it's a great build, how do I add LED's to the inside (I have a asus aura MB so wanted a little more light). The power supply is a corsair 650W, how many attachments for things like LEDS do these things have if I bought some and fitted myself?
