** CORSAIR FORCE 3 SSDs ** PRE-ORDER NOW!!

All i can find is that they will be available worldwide this month. As this month is almost over you would expect them to go on sale next week, although most of the other manufacturers new releases were delayed so don't get your hopes up.

Corsair and disti seem to think ll be next week for stock to you, the customer :)

Oh yeah, maybe not better controller.

I'm guessing when you put the controller as SF-2200, you actually mean SandForce SF-2281?

If they are the same controller, why are you advertising them differently :S:S:S

Hi there

From what I can see it is as follows in order of performance:-

1. OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPS (Fastest)
2. OCZ Vertex 3
3. OCZ Agility 3 / Corsair Force 3
4. OCZ Solid 3

Basically Corsair and OCZ use slightly different testing methods to each other which give different results, but when you test an Agility 3 and a Force 3 using the same testing parameters the performance of the two drives is actually the same.

Therefor base your purchase on the brand you preferre. I would always recommend our customers to go with OCZ due to the simply superb support and vast experience OCZ have in SSD's and is why OCZ are the worlds no.1 for SSD as they are always first to market with the latest technologies.

We sell them all, but my own personal systems would always use OCZ or Intel product. :)

gibbo, thanks for the info - i recognise that you have experienced ocz's superb support and i already know about ocz being world number 1 for ssd but, have you got any experience regarding Corsair's service and support, if so, can you please let us know your opinion?

OCZ also being the most expensive SSDs too :P

It's not as though Corsair doesn't provide good customer service.

You would think that OcUK are sponsored by OCZ :P

The prices are all around the same ballpark.

Were sponsored by both OCZ and Corsair. :)

I wouldn't touch an ocz product after reading about people's experience but have heard only good things about corsair

Its only the Agility 3 I've read bad reviews about from people and I bet in the early days of SSDs (around 2007), everyone had issues regardless of manufacturer. I know SSDs are proven now but they are now so much easier to install and doesn't need maintenance as you would any other HDD. My OCZ Vertex 2e BF is amazing and haven't had any issues in the 3 months/1558 hours use it's had.

My Agility 3 is fine, it kept dropping out for the first day, but reinstalled drivers etc and worked perfectly, heard people having dead ones though which isn't good. But, these things happen.

Are these backwards compatible with SATA2?

The Agility3 blurb specifically says...

> Interface: SATA-III / 6Gbps (Backwards compatible with SATA-II / 3Gbps)

whilst the Corsair Force3 only says...

> SATA 6Gb/s (SATA 3) connectivity

I'm looking to use this with a Gigabyte EX58-UD5 motherboard, which is only SATA2.
