Corsair H50-1 Woahs/Concerns/Annoyances

haha indeed chainy, the screws are worryingly short, however I put 8 new screws from the link one of the don's posted so I could do push/pull and them screws are 2-3 mm longer so it puts your mind at rest :) they were only a couple of quid too
 
My H50 Buzzed aswell, was loudest thing in my case, got an HR02 now with a quiet 140mm fan, I have seen idle temps as low as 25c at times, same as room temperature
 
If i were to buy one of these, would the hoses stretch to the front of my case?

Got an INWIN griffin, don't even know if it's worth it considering the MAHUSSIVE side fan :D

my 6 month old GA-P55-UD2, i5 750 3.36ghz (29c-50c), Corsiar TX 650w, XFX 5850 XXX, 4 pin H50 (800 idle), 3 pin 1x120mm sys (675 constant) fan is pretty quiet.
Smartfan on "AUTO".

But sometimes I get a low whump-1 sec- whump noise. Snowed in the town is quiet so started to fiddle.

Tried speedfan but didn't work (smartfan off). Hoped i could also switch of each fan to isolate.

Read about PWM phases. So tried Smartfan on "voltage".
Sys fan is up to constant 695rpm
H50 is down to 480 on idle. Even got 0 when PC was cool.
temps around the same. Used Prime32.

Half an hour, no whump-1 sec- whump noise so far.

It sounds that running H50 on "voltage" is fine. Correct?
