Hello all, I was thinking about buying a Corsair h70 for cooling my processor when I want to overclock it in the future but in all of the videos i've seen, it's been put into cases with bottom mounted PSU's, would the fans and Radiator still fit below a Power Supply if it was mounted at the top? does anyone have a Corsair h70 with the PSU above it or knows if it will fit ok? thank you for your time

The radiator for the H70 uses a 120mm fan. It sticks out approximately 2mm from the fan on each side.

The distance between a Top-Mounted PSU to the 120mm rear case fan is usually about an inch. Looking a the H70 Radiator that extra inch seems to be taken up by a metal chunk, probably a small reservoir.

In which case it looks like it will either be a very tight fit, or not fit at all. That's probably the reason people only buy this cooler for their setups with a bottom mounted PSU.

You could consider the following similar water cooling setups:

CoolIT Vantage ALC Water Cooling System.
CoolIT Eco ALC Water Cooling System.
CoolIT Domino ALC Water Cooling System.

They're all as equally good as the corsair H70 from reviews, although the ECO Version lacks a little. I'd go for the Vantage personally.
There are images plastered all over google of these systems being mounted in a case which uses a Top-Mounted PSU.

Ahh thank you, any of them that work well i'd be more than happy with, the h50, h70, CoolIT's products etc, I really dont mind, but thank you for the help then :) I was also considering mounting it on the side of my case, as Corsair state orientation doesnt matter, as long as it's grabbing cool air, so I have a few options at least, but i'm guessing the CoolIT ones are generally slightly smaller than the h70 then? and thank you for your time

Edit: I totally forgot and just remembered that my case has two watercooling holes at the back, so the clearance between the 120mm fan and the PSU looks to be around 2 inches at least instead of 1 because of the extra clearance, do you think it would be ok to fit then? it's much easier if it fits straight on the back instead of having to mount it elsewhere thats all, I dont mind if it's a Corsair/CoolIT product, whichever one works best is what i'd like, and thank you for the help :D

Here are the dimensions for the whole unit:

Length: 122mm
Width: 27mm
Height: 275mm

Therefore you have 275mm of radiator unit to fit between your PSU and the bottom of the large rear fan area. Use a ruler or tape measure to measure the distance, and also measure the distance between the fan holes to the edges.

Another big problem here is that the H70 uses 2 fans either side of the radiator, with this kind of clearance from the rear of the computer the radiator and fans is most likely to block the intake of your PSU fan.

I wouldn't consider the H70 for your particular system setup.
Also the CoolIT Vantage gets just as good temperatures as the H70, you should look at some reviews.

Ahh thank you for the help :) and yeh I really dont mind which one it is, i'm not gonna be overclocking to such insane levels that a push pull configuration is a must, so i'm more than happy going with the CoolIT too, but i'll measure it all up anyway and see what the clearance etc is like, thank you for your time though, it helped a lot :D
