Corsair Hydro H50 CPU Water-Cooler - Lowest UK Price!

Will a CPU water cooler like the H50 always be more effective that a heatsink cooler? If I upgrade this year, I think I'd rather splash the extra £15-£20 on a watercooler if its going to do the job better than just buy a heatsink/fan combo.

ace, just checked the price on the h-70 cooler and the company i told you about is £8 cheaper.

thought you would have been cheaper also on the h-70 as well

The H50 performance about the same as a decent £40 air cooler.

The H70 performs about the same as a £60 air cooler.

Their are advantages to water cooling kits - as the heat is pulled away via the liquid which is better than air blowing the heat away thru air as this heats the air up and cause ambient air temps in the case to be higher.

Also using a water cooler puts far far less strain on your motherboard than a big heavy block of metal clamped to it. Gravity and all that.
