Corsair Obsidian 800D Case Video

Yellowbeard, what do you think the best way to cool components is in the 800D? Air, water, or a mixture of both.

I was thinking the Corsair H50 for the CPU and a couple of spot fans for the GPUs.

Or just air - a Megahalem or TRUE - but is air cooling sufficient? I have heard from a few reviews that the airflow is not good enough with the stock fans.

I would love to invest in the case but can't until I know for sure that my CPU/GPUs will not fry under air cooling (I do plan to go with water at some point but not right now)

Any advice would be welcome.

EJR, most of the people making statements about the air cooling effectiveness in an 800D are speculating. Their statements are not based on testing. Either air or water will do very well in this case.

Pea-rost, lovely case tho, can i have one :)

Gaffner..

there's a new revision of the H50 with a new part number. CWCH50-1 which you guys should be able to identify. The -1 means that the new package will now include not only LGA775 and LGA1366, but also the LGA1156 and AMD AM2 and AM3 brackets. The bracket design has changed a bit but it still works fine and the increased compatibility should make it an easier product to use.
