The one above could sell quite well but its a little pricey, would have been better if it retailed for say £40-45. That begs the question though, will the 550 watt version sell at all?

The 450 watt version retails for £52.86, so when and if OCUK get the 550 watt version it will most likely be around the same price as the Corsair HX 520W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Compliant PSU (which can handle most system setups) but its non modular.

Thoughts? :p:D

HX series has a nicer colour sceme imo....yes looks count :)
Shame its not say £5-£10 cheaper though, then i could probably cope with the green.

I dunno, unless you have X-Ray glasses and your system is framed up on the wall, i dont think you will be able to tell.

lol once i know theres part of my pc i don't like, i seem to subconsciously seek out ways to highlight it to me:confused: ahh tis such a curse.

Over Priced :)

For the sake of £16 difference on the 520w Modular SLI, I cant see many people purchasing them?

Instead of compensating and dropping it a little further, I can see the 520 & 620 increasing in price.

If OCUK was the only site you looked at then yes you might come to the conclusion that the vx450w unit is overpriced :)

To me, a lot of the recommended stuff are a tad dearer, im not botherd though as a few pounds more from OCuK is worth their excellent customer service, some companies once they've got their money couldnt care less.

Is the single 12v rail on this PSU an issue? I know the 550w has 41A on the 12v rail according to the spec sheet. I'm assuming that as long as your power draw isn't above 41A, that it doesn't matter where the power comes from (as the HX load balances between its rails anyway)?
