corsair watercooler h50 suitable for 1156 mobos?

as the title says, thinkin of getting a new i7 cpu 860, deciding on mobo, and cooler for this, do not intend to overclock.


the H50 gets good comments but not sure if it is compatible yet.

advice welcome :)

They could have done more to get these brackets out quicker tbh. After finding that the Zalman CNPS10X 1156 bracket does not fit my Asus mobo I now find myself with a shiny new PC which I'm unable to do any gaming on due to the temps going up to 75c after only a few munutes with the stock cooler. I'm really not impressed

It seems to be popular. I wouldn't want one myself, since it doesn't perform better than a large heatsink (e.g. TRUE, megalahems) and is inherently more likely to fail.
