I cannot seem to get my memory to run at 1600mhz and it is doing my head in!
I have the following Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel (TR3X6G1600C8) fitted in my GA-EX58-UD5.
Any tips? I note the voltage should be set to 1.65 although i only have 1.66 available and that did not work-system just hangs during boot.

still no joy with this-any suggestions? Could someone using a ud5 mobo and the same ram email me thier settings or a bios profile?

Unless you are running an extreme chip which on Asus boards allows you to select 1600mhz without overclocking your whole rig, then I think when you run your memory at 1600mhz your BCLK will increase too, resulting in your cpu overclocking. Chances are you bios settings probably need some tweaking as they may be defaulted to AUTO which isn't recommended. Check the overclocking thread.

Had the same problem mate - Had to manually set the DRAM Frequency (1600Mhz), DRAM Voltage 1.65v) and also had to manually adjust CMD Rate from 1T to 2T (which is what most 1600Mhz modules operate at)

Yeah , you will need to manaully set the memory speed settings. First try the standard 9-9-9-2T @ 1.65 or in your case 1.66v. This is normal for most UD5 users it seems.

Just a question here ? How much ram do you have installed ? Is it just the 6GB or possibly 12GB. ? I am using the same stuff in 12GB. At stock clocks 1600mhz is no problem even with 1T. Though when clocking its not bootable @ 1600mhz.
