Could God simply be an intelligent system emergent from complexity?

    And from facts novel ideas emerge.

    You don't have to believe the objects exist to accept the idea that Gods, talking tree's, little green men etc. are emergent properties of a system.

    Emergence is an aspect of system complexity.

    Novelty. Something new, original or unusual.

    Unless you are a true believer and hardcore worshiper of .....

    All behavior has a cause and is governed by forces that we have no control over.

    At its most hardcore it creates issues with the idea of having a mind of you're own and is generally deployed in softer versions.

    Forms the basis of scientific law ( a statement about the world based on repeated experimental observation). Determinism is itself an emergent property of this system from which further ideas of things emerge.

    As God's, talking tree's and little green men are the emergent properties of other forms of thought.
