Good afternoon,
I have just bought a pc off a mate of mine for what i think was a very good price of £130
Specs Are:
Phenom 9950
XFX Geforce 8300 Motherboard
4gb Corsair DDR2
Coolermaster Elite 333
Thermaltake 550w
Lite ON Dvd Drive
You think i got a good deal? or should i get my money back and buy some parts off OCUK and put one together ?

In fairness, other than the processor, it's not a bad setup. Stick a nice mid-range graphics card in and you'll have an old but reasonable gaming rig.

You wont be able to build one new for that money, you done well. Just need to stick a decent gpu in it now and you'll be well away.

Whats wrong with the processor? Onboard gfx will be fine because i am only burning files to and from dvds.
Then I think you got a deal. It's going to be a competent workhorse PC and I doubt you could do much better for only £130. My only suggestion would be to maybe consider a larger and faster HDD if you're often slinging large files around.

you should be getting your money back and pm me your friends email address so I can tell him off for trying to sell you such a low end pc :p

its a great deal that, the 9950 is a quad 2.6 black edition yes? I don't know why others are saying the processor is not good, looks like a great CPU and system

good stuff

Cheers Guys!!! :D
I currently have a 250gb in there,2 x 400gb in there, I will hopefully get some christmas money and so will pick up a Samsung f3 1tb to help with the speed of moving stuff about.
He has offered me a 8800gts 640mb for £30 what you reckon?

better idea, send it back and give me your friends email adress so I can buy it!! :p
(not tell him off?!)

oh and to the gpu dont bother, you dont need it save the money

The Phenom IIs are far better though (quicker, cooler, quieter) - however, for £130, it's a great setup.
