Hi,
I'm wondering if my S6500fd has developed a fault...
For some months I've been using eveready 2500 rechargeables. Over the winter period I didn't use the camera much so when I did want to use it I found the batteries were dead...no surprise there.
But then it started to happen quite a lot. I'd recharge a set of batteries, use them, leave the camera for a couple of weeks and then I'd find them flat again.
So I bought 2 sets of Fujicell 2700's and a Fujicell smart charger. Charged up both sets...put a set in my camera and put the camera away and went to bed.
I went to use the camera this morning and I didn't even get to take a single shot before the battery low indicator came on and the camera turned off
I put the "flat" set in the charger and the charger indicated a full charge after about 30 mins...so they were far from flat.
I have another set of Fujicell's that I'm going to try out. I'll need the camera later today and then I'll leave it overnight and see what state the batteries are in tomorrow morning...but I am beginning to wonder if my beloved S6500fd is faulty. It's nearly a year old so I can get it repaired under warranty.
