Could the rumours be true??

If you believe sport to defined by physical exertion you couldn't really say computer games were a sport - you couldn't say darts or snooker were either but you could say ballroom dancing was (physical activity governed by rules performed competitively).

The real rub comes in motor racing, is there enough physical exertion racing a car to call it a sport? Certainly in F1 there is, they under go massive g-forces, lose pints of liquid and have to keep in top physical shape. But lower down the order is btcc a sport?
 
I'd say it comes between more chess and table tennis, reflex and rapid hand eye based but also very strategy and tactical based.
