What makes you think they are the worst songs ever?

It stems back to hearing their first record a lot when I was younger. I can't take any band seriously whose vocalist resorts to a blubbering wreck whining about his Mum in the middle of a song.

Then there's the fact that every song is the same, following the same formula (more or less) for the subsequent 4 or 5 albums. They just irk me. They irk me in a massive way that I just can't get over.

They are the only band on Earth that I can say that I hate. Truly, truly hate.

Try "sons of a plunder" or "inside the fire". I wasn't that fussed on their first few records either (the sickness), and I think the screaming about his mum half way through the song kills it (or at least i did the 1st 30 times i listened )
I can totally understand your reasons for not likeing them cause of that, but give the above songs a go!
