Could you recommend a CF card backup storage device

morgan i'm surprised you bothered going to all that trouble whilst simultaneously missing the 'report to mod' button that appears under every post.. not only that but you quoted the offending link -- breaking the rules yourself...

To top it all off, that site I mentioned wasn't even a good price! I got mine for £15 from an auction site anyway.

Anyway, highly recommended! ;)

Ohh, thanks for pointing that button out to me. Very helpful indeed, and thanks for informing me about the prices too. just one thing:

IT WAS A JOKE ;)

I have a Wolverine 20GB drive with just an LCD screen, cost about £100 some time ago. In its limited functionality, its never let me down by losing images. Battery life could be better.

The newer Wolverine drives have interchangable batteries much like a DLSR, a screen, can display RAW, FM radio and a host of other stuff like playing videos. They also connect to a TV and can play a movie or a slideshow on it. Quite nice.

I can whole heartedly recommend the CompactDrive PD70x, I bought one a while ago and im still impressed with its performance, they have released a newer model called a "NEXTO CF" this is meant to have a 14mb/s sustained copy speed, which blows all the other similar devices out of the water, the PD70X reviewed in the link above achieved 8.5mb/s... which is still leagues ahead of all the other devices. To put it into perspective, the Canon M30 and M80 have a transfer speed of only 4.1mb/s.
