Yes, it was just in showroom...obviously no keys in ignition so maybe the wheel goes up/back further with it on?

If by back you mean towards the dash then that might have been the problem. If your knees are touching you want to bring the wheel closer to you. Unless you are Mr Tickle if the seat has to be all the way back to sit comfortably then the wheel will need to come towards you to be comfortable also.

If by back you mean towards you then I'm out of ideas :p
