elmarko, keep an eye on the Scottish results. We have AV up here for council elections. I've been out all afternoon so not sure how things stand but it might be interesting to compare it with England who use a different voting system.

You seem to suggest there ought to be a difference, I doubt there will be.

It seems very few council's have a majority ruling party. So it has turned out very different.

The question is, is that a good or bad thing?

By a pretty narrow margin. As I said before thankfully I can take some comfort that GD is not representative of the views of the wider populous

Tbh the main thing I draw from the London mayoral elections is what utter BS the 'No to AV' campaign spouted - it seems that the AV process worked exactly as it was supposed to
