Council Tax

The wrongs arnt the publics fault its the rule makers, look at the wages at the council higher than the private sector look at the pensions and look at the value for money= 0. why should council directors earn 300k a year?

Utter garbage, get your facts right. So you don't know any privately employed directors on more than 300K? what a bloody joke.

Obviously the solution to this is to have council tax levied on an individual basis rather than on a per property basis, surely no one could have any issues with that? :D

But that is already what is in place.

If only one person is responsible for council tax, then they pay the same as if they lived alone. (full amount minus 25% single person occupancy discount).

the poll tax was the fairest system but the dossers and hippies kicked off

Seek, do you have a source for your HMO exemption stuff?

Not online. Just personal experience. I spent the best part of four years living in HMO's, with frequent visits to the council to discuss this. So the best possible advice I can give is to get down to your local council offices and talk to them about it.

Not really, council tax is levied on a property basis to an individual rather than on an individual basis. The last time it was tried on an individual basis lots of people complained.

Not sure what you mean by this. If a tennant is responsible for paying the council tax then they pay based on the property band. What do you mean by 'individual basis'? What would the difference be?

By dossers and hippies I assume you mean poor people?

nope was dossers and hippies :p

at the time I was in a family of 5 living in a council house so the poor people would have been the likes of us, these were the serial protesters/rioters

Rather than council tax being levied on a property and the value of said property with the number of residents being completely unimportant it gets levied on each and every person that lives in the council area. Obviously not at the same level but at the level required to maintain the same income.

Basically the Poll Tax. It proved to be quite unpopular.

LMAO... just dont tell them.

who the hell cares if he doesnt pay council tax, get over yourselves. Just because you know you cant get away with no paying, it doesnt mean that you need to guilt trip this guy, u miserable ****s.
