Couple of 8800GTX Probs

First when I switch my computer off it whisles, its quite high pitch and lasts for a little over a second. Is this normal?
Secondly I updated my 3D Mark 06 last week now after installing my 8800GTX it crashes with colours fading into a white screen after the firefly test and before the first CPU test. I've uninstalled it and but the first version back on ran it 3 times and all seems to be fine. Could this be a problem with the patched 3d mark 06 and the 8800gtx of is my card giving up.

my 8800gtx whistles at me when i turn my pc off aswell.. so nothing to worry about there?

Its normal.

read a load of reports about this, what is happning technicaly is when your powering off before the system is shuting down the power to the card is draining out and the card bleeps to indicate low power before your system fully turns off.

you would get the same bleep if you removed 1 of the 6 pin power cables from the card then powered up.
