Fairly big hemi stuck between the framerails of this '29 Ford on '32 rails. Nice bit of polished Hilborn fuel injection on top and Moon tank out front, bet it fries those piecut slicks nicely!

Rusty crusty '34 truck chopped and channeled to death, surfboard propped on top, whitewalls and red painted wires. Looks great, I want one to scare kids in! Judging by the three pipes it's a flathead V8:

Sleek, sleek, ragtop '36, perfect for these summer nights...

Real old style '32 cabriolet, quite a rare piece of tin in itself. Narrow crossplies on solid steel wheels, looks like 1940 Ford running gear by the size of the juiced brakes - that's the period running gear of choice - drilled red front beam axle, unsplit 'bones and a RARE RARE RARE Red Ram hemi, the feared motor of it's day. This must go like a missile, pull up like an oil tanker and corner like it's on ice. I want a go:

That's for today folks!

why even bother putting the radiator grill on. It looks ugly and minging and has no functional purpose anymore.

You just don't get it. That look just doesn't appeal to everyone, it'd be boring if it did. That's by far the best car of the three, in my opinion.

sweet pics again Jonny :D

that rusty '34 was built by Jimmy Shine (hence why its so damn bitchin' :p ) for Billy F Gibbons

want to get me a rat rod so much fun

Im developing a real interest in thes hot rod things ;) Keep watching the show on discovery, rides i think its called.

Wife may be suprised with the car replacement tho ;)

I like them all but the rat one looks decent for once or undecent even.

Can they run the tires open like that. I think the shiny sticker is no good, anything shiny or too new looking ruins it.
You really should have to wonder if its going to fall apart or not then be amazed at the power the old man still has :D

Always loved rods, from low budget ones to full on pro builds.

The "crusty" '34 is absolutely fantastic.

Not a fan of the "rat" look generally but that 34 is the mutts. I want one just so I can scare old ladies and small children :D

in the states fenderless and to an extent open headers are fine on hot rods (lucky guys.......) don't be fooled, some of the rat rods are a bit shabby same with everything but that is a tough as old boots and built very well like a majority are

Technically the answer is no for most states, including my own. However, most cops would turn a blind eye on such a vechicle.

Never in my life have I seen full open headers tolerated for very long.
