I popped down the road this morning and took a few shots. These are the first ones with my new 400D I've been brave enough to post here, so go easy, but comments and criticisms are welcome. 
These are taken with the kit lense, they should still all have their exif data intact.

Taken almost straight into the sun, I'm really happy with how it came out myself. The lense flare is annoying, but I'm not sure how it could have been avoided.

I like this one simply because of how blue the water looks, the horizon looks curved though, is that an effect of the lense at that short focal length?

This one I was concious of the rule of thirds, however when I tried to keep the various components on the horizontal lines it didn't look right, so it's centered verticly more.
