Over the last few days I have been using the forums and google to gather some information on traveling europe. And i have a question :p

Me and some mates were thinking of starting our trip by getting the eurostar to paris, but we were wondering, when we first get to paris, will we have trouble finding a hotel to stay for that night untill we get sorted. Will we be able to just walk off the train and book a hotel or will we need to reserve a room?

Also, im guessing im right in presuming this, but will the eurostar dump is in the middle of paris where there will be tons of hotels, resturants and things to see?

cheers for any help.

Eurostar is the way to go, but I'd definetly book something before you go. Hostels and cheap rooms go quickly especially in the summer. The last thing you want to happen on your very first night is that your running around paris with your heavy bags looking for somewhere to stay, you'll lose your first night and it might but a dampener on your whole trip.

Check out http://www.hostelworld.com/ you can check hostels and cheap hotels all in one place, and make sure you read the review on this and http://www.tripadvisor.com/ too, so you don't end up somewhere totally crap!
