Couple's weekend away... Help please.

I stayed in the Royal suite at the Royal Seven Stars Hotel in Totnes. It's a fantastic hotel, the room was amazing, the food was excellent and the owners and staff are friendly and professional.

Totnes is also a really pleasant town with lots of stuff to see and do.
 
You're not too far from Heathrow so the world is your oyster depending on your budget. I took my wife to Paris for a weekend last year as a surprise. That went down very well indeed :)

Eurostar is a much better option for a weekend break then the airport.

Walking off the train into the centre of Paris is great, much less hassle then the airport.

Looked at that, but the Eurostar is so much more expensive than flying. Agree that it's the better bet if you can afford it.
 
travelsupermarket.com says it's £61.22 per person from London to Paris with easyjet. I wouldn't consider anything way cheaper than £69 though as it's a small amount of money in the first place. :p
