I have an all copper Akasa CPU heat sink fan assembly(one of these). Never having had an all copper HSF before, I'm not sure how these should behave with regards to temperatures rising and falling.
When my CPU is under load, the temperatures slowly climb until it's reached the max temperature. When I stop the CPU working hard, the temperatures slowly go down to my idle temperature. Is this correct; i.e.slow rise in temps and then a slow drop in temps?
I ask because I assumed as copper HSF'S are better at getting rid of the heat that builds up, that the temperature would drop quickly when you stop the load on the CPU.
