Went to see him last night at the Apollo in Manchester and ive got to say that he is one of the best singers live that ive ever heard. His vocal talent in amazing and if you get the chance to see him live, do so, hes a very very good performer.
He did some of his freestyling aswell in the tunes from back in his garage days.
It was a top notch gig. Just a shame he's not had as much success from his first album now, because the other 2 albums he's brought out are quality and have some amazing tracks on, shame he doesnt get the recognition for it, but i think he really shines when doing live/acoustic performances with his guitarist Fraser T Smith. Check out some of his live performances, there's plenty of them on YouTube and check out his 3 albums Born To Do It, Slicker Than Your Average and The Story Goes...

Love all his albums he kicks these so called american R&B stars into touch who bring out albums with one or two good tracks and thats it as the rest are just fillers put a craig david album on and your ears will love you from the first to the last track.

Let me see those hands up in the air
All my fellas bouncing in the club let me hear you say yah :)

Isnt it, i dont think he gets anywhere near enough the appreciation, all his 3 albums have nigh on 99% quality tracks. They're all good. You've got to see him live though, its just immense. He's by far one of the most (if not the most) vocally talented singers from the UK. Some people dont even compare.

What he needs to do though is release an acoustic or live compilation, because its what his fans want and i believe it will sell shed loads.

Real Time Pitch Correction, talent ? no. Just for future reference, when you go to a concert and find yourself in awe of how pitch perfect artists are.

So nobody is capable of singing in tune any more?

I know I have stood in front of a few hundred people and been pitch-perfect. Some old mates of mine have stood in front of tens of thousands of people and been pitch perfect in less than ideal performance spaces.

Right yeh, and im sure when its just him singing 'unplugged' with his guitarist its the same. He still sounds just as good as his studio productions.

i can see where you are coming from, and in some cases that might be the truth. However i get the feeling that Craig David wouldn't be like that, im not really into him and his tunes, but from the things that i have heard, he seems to have a good set of lungs on him. Also to me his attitude about his tunes and the way that he acts on tv suggests that he wouldnt want to use techniques to help his voice, not that he needs it anyway.
