I have just jumped out of bed my calf muscle fully cramped. hit the deck for 2mins with a tear in my eye and my leg is still sore to touch :(

seriously their has to be no other pain that is soo random and that can bring a tear to your eye so easily I hate them with a passion.

Anyone else here suffer these..keeping you awake.

(not medical assistance just sharing my displeasure)

I used to get calf cramps loads when I used to skate a lot. It's horrible waking up in the night with it and having to hop round the room trying to work it out.

Yep. I got them in hot weather a lot more often for some reason. It really is quite a horrible pain. I also get it in my toes, and they curl around eachother in some horribly passionate scene of 'muscle love'. OUCH!

Yeah I mean i've had cramp in my feet loads of times but whenever I (rarely) get it in my calf it's awful!

It definately depends on how it's positioned/flexed or something, the last time it hapened to me it was sore for a full day afterwards.

Yep, both my calf muscles do it sometimes... hurts like hell and has left visible bruising before.

I used to get that as well, not so much now though.

Yup I am post cramp just now, annoying tho as sitting down etc is fine but when u get back up again it's like your using your leg for the very first time :p

get it my thigh, when i sometimes wake up, if i stay perfectly still the pain stops, but then when i go back to sleep i usually move and wake up in agony :(

I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and I've already started hopping around the room in pain, and I too suffer from the toes of death.

yikes never had it in my thigh but with the size of that muscle that sounds like it could be worse than calf I am not getting back to sleep today lol :(

yes I am a big jessie :p

Get yourself a metal waste paper bin in your bedroom, next time you have cramp but the cold metal bin against the part with cramp and it should disappear quite quickly.

I had it in the back of the car once, had to put my leg over into the front of the car and wave it about for a bit, I looked silly but the pain releif made it worth while. I don't get it much but it is weird and painful!

Yes, I get them quite often. I one got one when taking part in carnal pleasures with Mrs D. It happened at the worst possible time, if you get my drift. I suddenly leapt off and hopped around the room crying like a little girl.

To say the wife was a little ******* would be an understatement......... :o

I get horrible foot cramps too, my foot tries to fold itself in half :/

Used to get them in my toes allot when i was young, foot would cramp up, and a few years ago i used to get them in work, fall over and start screaming in the middle of the production floor haha.

I can imagine getting one at work while on the phone customer would be like nooo what did I say as im screaming down the phone like the exorcist :D Good to see im not alone though

Yeah i get them pretty much all the time due to lots of rugby hockey and cricket, along with gym etc etc.

eating more salty foods tends to help a lot

it hurts a lot, too much to try and get rid of it by hopping around

I used to get loads of them, found stretching the leg out fully and lifting my food to stretch the muscle seemed to get rid of them fairly quickly. Definitely not the most pleasant thing to get woken up by in the middle of the night

I use to get it in my calves from skating, the trick is to stretch it out.. But not to the point where your knee cap is on full lock, as that makes it 3x worse!

Worst cramp I've ever had suddenly appeared in my Ab's while ****** in a club! I didn't know what the hell was going on, I went to the toilets and tried throwing up, but it wouldn't go away. Even worse was the fact I could hardly stand up after 20 minutes, I thought I was going to DIE! Ended up jumping in a taxi with one of my mates... It's not nice :( longest 3 hours of my life!
