Creative cards and vista worth a damn?

Had an xfi fatality a while back and sold it on due to the drivers being pretty carp. Have things changed on this front? Im using integrated audio and would like something better for gaming, i was impressed with my xfi for soun as everything was much crisper and had more of apop to it.

Dunno about the X-fi. I'm using an old Audigy 2 ZS and the drivers are still not great.

Surprised at the lack of replies, if you have a quick look around you should find a few threads with people moaning about the X-Fi on Vista, although you will see a lot of replies from people saying they have no problems as well.

Not sure if the model you are looking at would have less issues or if they all suffer the same issues.

Hmm sounds pretty dodgy for some with 4gigs on vista 64 which is what i run :eek:

My X-Fi Xtreme music is fine under Vista x64. Granted there's the odd occasion where Vista will start and promptly tell me there's no soundcard installed but apart from that it performs perfectly.

X-Fi Xtreme Gamer works fine for me under Vista64 with 4GB of RAM. Used modded drivers from creative forum to fix some mic issues, but since then have been sorted.
